Our guests at Villa Eliana can benefit not only from the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere that is present, thanks to the elegance of the architecture, to the landscape you can enjoy from the wonderful terraces and the blooming garden that encloses the building, but you also have the possibility to know in person some of the most suggestive places in Campania and to get to know the traditions and the culture of this land rich in history.

The Sorrentine peninsula, with its uneven shore that encloses ravishing beaches and the protected marine area of Punta Campanella, offers landscapes of unique beauty that still show signs of its ancient past, like the majestic roman villa that Pollio Felice made build on the capo di Sorrento to appreciate from his terrace a fabulous view which delighted his guests.

Sorrento is the gem of the coast, a hospitable and cheerful town that invites you to peaceful strolls with its alleys full of distinctive shops and craftsmen workshops and its main road full of cafés, restaurants, ice cream shops and pubs which will gladden the summer evenings of the visitors, together with a number of festivals and cultural events. Not far from Sorrento there are Massa Lubrense, known as the “Land of the Mermaids” and Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, an intriguing location that overlooks both the gulfs of Naples and Salerno.

The gulf of Salerno encloses the magnificent Amalfi coast, where typical towns, such as Positano and Vietri sul Mare can be found, and charming places rich in history like the ancient Marine Republic of Amalfi with its famous Duomo and the Chiostro del Paradiso.

Worth a visit is also the near city of Ravello, famous for the magnificent Villa Rufolo, with its enchanting blooming gardens.

Our guests at Villa Eliana can easily reach the most important places that have made Campania world famous: the city of Naples, with its numerous monuments between the modern city buildings, tells better than anyone else its long journey through history, from its foundation to present day, through long foreign dominations who marked their presence with beautiful palaces; the haunting sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, that will offer you the chance to walk through an ancient Roman city frozen in time, of which mount Vesuvius made immortal their last breath. Villa Eliana is the ideal resort to set off to the discovery of this unique and surprising land.
